Get to know the group and the instructor

When entering the room, we bow. We start the classes together bowing in a seiza seat and we get up in order from higher steps to lower ones. Then we execute warm-up, after which we often exercise pads, i.e. ukemi, and we move on to learning techniques. The instructor shows the basic principles and helps you learn selected techniques step by step.

Learning step by step

Everything takes place in a safe and friendly atmosphere. You don't have to know everything right away, the most important thing is the willingness to try. Come and see what our classes are like!

Before entering the mat

Arrive a few minutes early and introduce yourself to the instructor. Take it away flip-flops for the passage between the locker room and the hall. We exercise mainly barefoot on the mat, without socks - the material slides on its surface. Say it's your first training session. This is a good time to ask about the organization of classes and say what you want to try. You don't need to know the names of the techniques or the rules of the group - the first training session is also about getting to know them.

While exercising

Focus on the tips and simple elements shown by the instructor. If you don't understand something, ask to be shown again. Learning a movement requires repetition, so mistakes are a natural part of the beginning. When exercising with another person, they count cooperation and respect for established rules.

After class

Stay for a short chat if there are any questions. You can ask about the selection of the group, subsequent training sessions and the equipment needed. Take a moment to evaluate how you felt during the class. You don't have to master everything at once - it's more important to learn how to work and take the first step.
